Footage and information from personal experience on raising hybrid wolves. I might have some information of value to you if you're planning on getting yourself a hybrid wolf-dog. These are wondeful creatures but sadly they are usually purchased by some jerk breeder who confines these animals to very small kennels and treat these beautiful creatures like products of investments. IMPORTANT: IF you're interested in owning a wolfdog may I please suggest that you read this book? You can get it used for practically a few $'s and it's just a great introduction on wolfdogs, how to raise them, train them, and of course, their behavior! www.amazon.com Hybrid Name: Gambit Age: 14 weeks

Hello wolf people :) - this is my third video now for a short series I'm doing documenting my hybrid cub's growth and I'm also answering question regarding training, animal psychology, etc. My cub "Gambit" is now 22 weeks old and is already almos the size of our larger German Shepard who is actually the largest German Shepard I've seen, and I've seen a lot! He's a big, beautiful, and healthy dog. Wolf-dogs are a different breed and that must be kept in mind. I urge you to take the time to research the animal before even considering owning one. There's a great book that I read called "Wolfdogs A - Z!" and it's a perfect place to start. Remember that they're not entirely like your other dogs while at the same time they're by no means the little monsters a lot of people have made them out to be. Wolfdogs train VERY well, they can be house-broken, heel, leash trained, etc. They're one of the most intelligent of all the canines - normally operating in a hierarchy with other animals and even your house hold. But don't worry, you're always gonna be the alpha and you're always gonna be the center of their world.Personally, I prefer them over dogs. Remember to give your animals their parvo shots and heartworm medication!!!!!!!!!!!! take care :) IMPORTANT: IF you're interested in owning a wolfdog may I please suggest that you read this book? Wolf Colored German Shepherd Luke - NOT wolf hybrid or wolfdog - maskless sable GSD - Wolf colored German Shepherd Luke at 14 months. We have had some people question his coloring and no, he is NOT a wolfdog or a wolf hybrid, he is a maskless sable German Shepherd Dog. His coloring is actually similar to Rin Tin Tin, however rather than having silver coloration his is a mixture of tan with some silver intermixed. He has had preliminary OFA evaluations on his hips and elbows with a good/normal rating, and is AKC/UKC registered. He is built like a tank, and while not as tall as Ash, he is 27" at the shoulder, 110 pounds and still growing and think he will be a valuable asset to our breeding program in producing huge bone structure. The song is from The Lion King soundtrack, "King of Pride Rock".Pioneer German Shepherds breeds sweet-tempered plush and long coat (long haired) German Shepherd Dogs that are oversized with a laidback temperament. Please note that our dogs are NOT Shiloh Shepherds but are distantly related, with larger size and less angulation than most GSD. Nor are they King Shepherds, however they are above average in size (some say king sized) with a large-boned structure. However, all are AKC German Shepherd Dogs. Puppies are whelped indoors and raised underfoot in our home with lots of love, occasionally available to select companion homes. For more information about our dogs, see our website at www.pioneergermanshepherds.com or see http

This was taken on 12-26-2008, on a rainy day in Virginny. We had just dropped on to see Candy, one of our black and white female Bordershelties. She has a GREAT home close to where we live and since our daughter was down from Vermont with Biscuit, we wanted to let them say hi to each other and play for a little while. Though Ashley is Mrs Growly-Pants in this vid, please notice that she WAS very happy to see Candy (witnessed by her running around like a puppy herself)but she felt the need to tell her who was boss. Biscuit got this treatment for the first 36 hours after arriving back in Virginia. Seeing them at the 4 month mark, it makes us proud. Each and every one is in perfect health, they have great personalities and they are all BEYOND smart! Dozer is now only 2 pounds lighter than his mother, who weighs in at 34 pounds (Dozer is 32 EEK!!!!). Candy is 19 pounds and Biscuit is 18. We cannot thank you all enough for the overwhelming interest in these hybrids. There is a very touchy situation with the breeding, however...since most AKC types feel a dog is ruined by breeding outside its own classification. (Of course, how soon they all forget that each and every dog class we now have CAME from breeding some of this and some of that...duh) At this time, I cannot disclose the sire and that is not likely to change, since this would likely jeopardize his standing in the show world. (Even though for a male, this is totally ludicrous, since we collected and artificially did the ...
